**** VCom v0.2b **** (1 port inbound telnetd)
NOTE: This will tell you how to setup a BBS running Renegade with VCom. This
is the procedure used in setting up the VCom Support BBS and should work
for you as well. If you have any questions, please email us at
infrared@netime.com with the problem, and we will try to reply ASAP.
This document assumes that you have read VCom.DOC and installed VCom.Vxd
on port 2a0h and irq 7; if you've used different settings, substitute
the ones you've used for the ones mentioned below.
Renegade Setup
--------------
From the WFC (Wait for Call) menu go into the System config (S) and then
choose Modem Configuration (B). After that, set the IRQ string to 7 and the
Base string to 2A0 (Unless you have specified a different IRQ and Base in
the SYSTEM.INI under [vcom]). Now set the COM Port to an unused port
(COM5's not a bad choice). As renegade uses a fossil driver, these settings
actually do nothing, but are used in conjunction with external protocols and
doors.
Next Step
--------
Now that Renegade is setup correctly, you have to setup your FOSSIL Driver
to use IRQ 7 and Base 2A0. The command line will vary depending on your
FOSSIL Driver.
ADF:
adf com5 2a0 7 115200 2048 2048 14
^^^^
This should match the RG port setting from the previous step.
Last Step
---------
After that load VCom, and you should have a functioning telnetable RG system.
